Giuseppe, or Pino, Gioia began to study piano when he was only eight. In 1993 he received a diploma from the music conservatory of G.da Venosa in Potenza with a specialization in piano and started performing in 1987 and in 1991 he released his debut album Stop. He subsequently received plenty of local media attention. He also worked as a composer and producer of sound tracks and collaborated with Warner Brothers. Between 2000 to 2002 he was touring and performed in about 250 concerts in Italia and abroad. In 2002, his album Quello Che Voglio was published in Canada by Riviera Records-Toronto and played on various radio stations. Touring in major Canadian cities, Pino Gioia launched his new song Ti Trovero’ – I Need You, to excellent audience reception, critical acclaim, and Canadian and American radio attention. His other single Ti Trovero was included in the compilation: Luna Records – Grandi Successi Italiani Vol. 1. In 2007, His single Lo Que Yo Quiero aired on 150 different radio stations and his year long tour came to an end in 2010 in Liege, Belgium. He followed that up by creating the soundtrack for the movie Basilicata – La terra dei Lucani produced by TLN Television Georgicam Inc. – Canada. He toured Canada and the USA on three separate occasions for his albums Svalutation, Duets with Maria Milano, and Non E’ Facile. His limited-edition vinyl album FIFTY – the vinyl collection will be released this August.
