Enzo De Rosa

The virtuoso pianist and Italian composer Enzo De Rosa began his piano studies with great musicians such as Tita Parisi in Naples, Aldo Ciccolini at the Accademia Internazionale di Biella, and Jeffrez Swann and Boris Petrshansky at the Accademia Pianistica “Collared Maestro” in Imola. He also attended Master’s courses with J. Demus, J. Achucarro, G. Wilson, E. Fadini and S. Fiorentino, their teaching having played a key role in his artistic development.

He has composed for a number of theatrical productions and television programs. He has released a music and film CD for the RAI (Italian television and radio), as well as four albums of original compositions on piano and various instruments. He has taught music composition, history and analysis of film music, virtual digital orchestration at the Benevento Conservatory of Music in Italy until 2013, and acted as a coach for the singing department.

A true film enthusiast, Enzo De Rosa has been playing world-famous film music for more than 20 years. With a backdrop of memorable sequences of films. He now resides in Montreal where he continues his career as a pianist, composer and arranger.

Isabelle Metwalli

Soprano Isabelle Metwalli has a classical vocal training from the University of Montreal with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in singing (1998). She plays the roles of Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Adele (Die Fledermaus) and Constance (Carmelite Dialogues) at university as well as in California where she pursues her studies.

Back in Québec, she stars as Pamina from the Magic Flute, touring with Les Jeunesses musicales du Canada.

Isabelle Metwalli is a member of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra choir and regularly sings under the direction of Kent Nagano. On the other hand, she plays film music with the composer and pianist Enzo De Rosa touring Quebec. In close collaboration with Enzo De Rosa, she sings her compositions and records them with him for the album “Latin orationes et carmina”.
