Project Description

December Rose, born and raised in Montreal, garnered international attention in 2012 after winning the title of Best Solo Artist in an online contest with her original song “Do not Give Up On Love”.

Russ Regan, who has already started the careers of Elton John, Barry White, Neil Diamond and Olivia Newton-John, heard her performance and quickly took notice. In 2015, her first EP, “December Rose”, was critically acclaimed. It includes the single “Ball Game” that received the “New Artist Spotlight” award from Blastro.com and was featured on AOL / Slacker Radio’s New Pop First channel.

The voice and style of December Rose have often been compared to Adele, Jessie J and Amy Winehouse. She earned two silver medals from the Royal Conservatory of Music and won the 2017 Superfantastico Singing Contest.

With her latest album “Inside | Out”, December Rose takes her listeners on a powerful and emotional journey. Among other things, she recounts the challenges she faced as she grew up and overcame her challenges. Most of her pieces are interspersed with classical spiritual songs that reflect some of her early singing memories at the church choir she attended with her grandmother.

In the fall of 2017, December Rose released her first Italian single “Lo Specchio” co-written with the Italian Il Cantagiro Festival in Fiuggi. They received the prize for the best original song in the international category. This victory earned December Rose a place among the judges of the Canadian JUNO Awards in March 2018/2019, and Jessie J’s holiday album contest panel.

Her many experiences have allowed her to acquire knowledge to be able to teach and mentor young people who wish, like she did, to break into the world of music.

While making appearances in festivals, casinos and TV channels, she is currently working on a new album that will be released in the coming months.
