Charles Vaccaro, a native Montrealer, is also an accomplished singer songwriter and rock guitarist. As the founding member of the 80’s rock band LIPSTIK, he was instrumental in the group gaining notoriety until the early 90’s. To this day, Charles claims that he has gained tremendously from his life experiences.
A once in a lifetime opportunity came about in the late 80’s when LIPSTIK was managed by none other than Whitney Houston (Nippy Management Inc). With numerous performances across North America, LIPSTIK had become the band to look out for. Along with reading about them in several magazines, their talent became more appreciated via several appearances on radio and television. In fact, their videos were playing across Canada on the Much Music network. The music scene took a different turn by the mid 90’s, and LIPSTIK didn’t get signed.
One could say that Charles has never stopped sharing his passion for music and song writing with the world. After a hiatus from the entertainment industry, the need to share this talent is more present than ever. Charles, last year released his single “Con Te”, written and composed in Italian. Produced by Peter Ranallo.
Presently playing the role as scout for young talented Montrealers, in 2017, he discovered an incredibly talented young artist with a bright future ahead of her. This young talented girl is Ariana Ianniciello a.k.a. Ari Skye. She not only won the hearts of many Montrealers but has successfully won over several judges at prestigious singing competitions such as SuperFantastico 2017 and Anjou Star 2018.
Under the guidance of Charles, Ari Ske has just released her first single entitled “WARRIORS”, a song about bullying and standing up for yourself.
