The VIRTUAL GUIDED VISIT visit will be live and tickets can be reserved for free online. You will receive a confirmation once registered. Book in advance for there is limited space. This exhibition is opened to the public until January 9th, 2022 at the Pointe-à-Callière Museum. You will discover the daily life and history of thousands of Italian immigrants who in the early 20th century emigrated to Quebec, thus forming one of the major components of Montreal’s social fabric.

The exhibition, accompagnied by a guide, will focus on five iconic areas that defined and still characterize this community: work on the railroad and in the construction sector; the café as a preferred spot for socializing; the home and its culinary traditions; the church as a place of meeting and association; and of course, the public sphere, in which so many Italo-Montrealers have distinguished themselves. Noteworthy are the family treasures that members of the Italian community have entrusted to the Museum thus enriching the exhibition thanks to their generous support. We look forward to seeing you on our social platforms and website for this incredible experience at the discovery of the roots of Italian-Montrealers.

The one hour-long event takes place live and cannot be replayed. Make sure you are available at the time indicated, which is Sunday, August 15 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in French and from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in English.
