The name Rose Bouche was born reading a quote from Charlie Chaplin on a Californian terrace surrounded by roses. Finding herself in Los Angeles to pursue a spiritual quest, the singer-songwriter of Italian-Quebec origin instead finds there her artistic identity. Back in Montreal, in 2016 she launched her first EP En attente de toi. It received a warm welcome from the public and the critics; as well as reaching 50,000 views for the video clip on Youtube. Rose Bouche, also known by her name Danyka Boileau-Bonaduce, will then play baroque pop which is reminiscent of the depth of Florence and The Machine, the atmospheres of Fishback and Clara Luciani on Quebec stages for a few years. Her sometimes theatrical energy, her voice and her singularity definitely made her win first prize in the Sherbrooklyn competition in 2017, second place at the Étoile montante Ford (Francofolies de Montréal) in 2016 and the Diffusion Saguenay prize at the Festival de la Chanson de St- Ambroise in 2017. She was also a finalist at the Festivals en chanson de Petite-Vallée, Festival en chanson of Granby and at Ma Première Place Des Arts, for which she received the MaTV and studio B-12 awards. More recently, she has provided concert openings for renowned artists such as Kandle, Coeur de Pirate and Émile Bilodeau. Join us virtually on our online platforms and follow Rose Bouche in concert on August 18th at 8 pm!
