THE ITALIAN WEEK PROGRAM : THE VIRTUAL WILL IMPRESS YOU !

A completely revised and visited festival in virtual format required no less than equally impressive programming. This year, we are presenting concerts and traditions reinvented in a new format that will reach the whole family and all tastes !

CONCERT EVENINGS

The main concerts presented by Ruffino

On Friday August 14th at 8 p.m. be charmed by the intensity of singer-songwriter Marco Calliari and the passion of Kalàscima, an Italian group. On Friday August 21st, get ready to experience Nicola Ciccone‘s impressive repertoire of songs.

Concerts presented by TD

Sunday August 9th 8pm, discover Gianni Bodo, then the pop “vibe” of Lili-Ann de Francesco. On Saturday August 22nd from 8 p.m., discover two charming duos : Alexander D’Alesio and Kevin Bazinet, as well as Ari Skye and Charles Vaccaro.

Lyrical classical concert presented by Ruffino

On Sunday August 23rd at 8 pm, to close the festival, let yourself be transported by grandiose opera sings thanks to an impressive quartet of singers : Raphaelle Paquette (soprano), Rose Naggar Tremblay (mezzo), Hugo Laporte (baritone) and Éric Thériault (tenor) accompanied on the piano by Giancarlo Scalia.

ENTERTAINMENT

Saturday August 15th, 7:30 pm

On Saturday August 15th, comedian Joe Cacchione will present us with a 30-minute comedy show starting at 7:30 pm, followed by Mike Melino in concert.

FASHION

Fashion Show, presented by SLF and FCCI
Sunday August 16th, 8pm

The festival wouldn’t be complete without the traditional fashion show featuring Italian-Canadian designers. Their know-how will impress you on Sunday August 16 from 8 pm in an unusual virtual format !

GASTRONOMY

Culinary capsule, presented by SLF
Thursday August 13th, 7:30 pm

Between laughter and passion, chef Michele Forgione shares a typical napolitan recipe with us : pasta Sciuè Sciuè !

CHILDREN’S EVENTS

Storytime in Italian, presented by TD
Saturday August 8th, 15th and 22nd, 10:00 am

Start the day with your children with a story time in Italian.

Art class presented by TD
Sunday August 16th, 10:30 am

On this occasion, young art enthusiasts can take a class showing them techniques to express their creativity.

ITALIAN LITERATURE

Wednesday August 19th, 7:30 pm

Following her very popular documentary, Mal’occhio, Agata De Santis, founder and blogger of italocanadese.com, presents us for the tenth anniversary of the film, the launch of the book of the same title.

ITALIAN CULTURE ON SCREEN

presented by TLN Media Group

During the festival, sit in front of your television to watch various Italian shows and films. Andrea Bocelli’s “Live in Portofino” concert will air on Saturday August 8th from 7:00 pm. Then, every Sunday of August, take advantage of the Italian cinema marathons from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm to watch all the must-sees of the 7th art in Italian ! Other films will also be screened on Wednesday August 12th and Tuesday August 18th from 9:00 pm.

BROADCASTING

In its new virtual format, the festival offers you all these events for free, without need to register or purchase tickets. All performances were recorded live from the festival studio and will be broadcasted through the festival website www.italfestmtl.ca as well as on our Youtube channel (Semaine italienne de Montréal _ italfestMTL). The links to each event will be available a few days before via our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, but the broadcast will only be accessible at the exact time of the show.
