Montreal, August 21, 2019

In accordance with tradition, the festival’s 26th edition concluded with its impressive outdoor opera last Sunday, August 18th. The opera Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo made the festival’s last night a memorable moment. What a success! Several thousands of festival-goers came together to discover the Italian culture and the Calabria region.

Once again, Italian Week attracted attention for its quality and diversity: outdoor opera, fashion show, music concerts, Italian movies, conferences, art exhibitions, guided tours, dessert contest, and much more! All of the events were carefully chosen to please festival-goers.

“The 26th edition is a huge success! The festival received an even warmer welcome than usual enjoying the warm summer sunshine and an unforgettable program of events. Many of them took part in our activities!” shared Antonio Sciascia, President of the National Congress of Italian-Canadians (QC)
